Sophia Sunwoo. Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder.
Sophia built and sold her first company in 2010, which had products placed in 250 retailers worldwide, was featured in People Magazine, and worn by celebrity clientele. She continued to manage projects over $1 million in value for Fortune 500 companies in hospitality and technology, and focused her undergraduate studies on effective market strategies to lift the resource-constrained out of poverty. Her senior dissertation was widely recognized by Parsons School of Design Strategies, and inspired the inception of Water Collective. Sophia holds a BBA from the Parsons School of Design and the New School, and is currently pursuing her MPA in International Economic Policy at Columbia University. She was listed as a leading force in Social Entrepreneurship on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list (2016) and awarded the Fred Alger Finance Award in 2015.
Josh Braunstein. Chief Water Officer, Co-Founder.
Josh has worked on several water and housing projects in Africa and Vietnam since he was 15, and has been a leading fundraiser for large environmental non-profit organizations. At the University of Miami, he founded Sustainable U and raised necessary funds to bring AASHE and the Talloires Declaration to campus. After several years in the field, Josh garnered the successes and faults of water solutions in the developing world and integrated the most impactful models into Water Collective.
Douglas J. Meyer. Senior Vice President & Group Head of the Bank’s Northeast Middle Market region, Bank Leumi.
Doug is a seasoned professional in the banking industry since 2002 and has worked in the areas of Small/Mid-cap, Middle Market, and Large Corporate. Since beginning his career as a teller at Commerce Bank while attending St. Dominic’s High School (Oyster Bay, NY), Doug has held several management positions on the credit/risk side and worked on the business development side at Santander Bank. Doug joined Bank Leumi in August 2015 and was recently promoted in September 2016 to Senior Vice President & Group Head of the Bank’s Northeast Middle Market region. He continues his focus on maintaining and expanding existing relationships and generating new opportunities within the corporate and industrial space. He is an active member in raising awareness in the not-for-profit arena for organizations such as The Water Collective (Chairman), Bubble Foundation, and STEM from Dance on which he serves in various board functions. Doug earned his B.S. in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College (Patchogue, NY) and lives in Manhattan’s Upper West Side neighborhood with his wife Breena.
Daniel Goldberg. Director of Origination, Wilshire Quinn Capital
Daniel spent five years trading for various banks and hedge funds before pursuing it independently. His entrepreneurial shift came from his desire to focus his energies on community service projects in his free time. His newfound project is to integrate real world management and decision making principles from the trading world into Water Collective’s mission.
Harish Tulsi. Commodities Trader, Morgan Stanley.
Harish works at the Commodities Trading Group at Morgan Stanley. He has an MPA from Columbia University in Sustainability Management with a focus on energy and water, and graduated with a BA (Honours) in Economics from the University of Calgary in 2008.
Jason I. Miller, Esq., Partner, Otterbourg P.C.
Jason is a Partner at the law firm of Otterbourg P.C. His practice focuses on commercial finance matters such as asset based lending, cash flow lending, middle market, acquisition finance, healthcare receivables financings, first and second lien loans, loan syndications and participations, and workouts and restructurings. Jason represents many leading institutional lenders, including major national and international commercial banks, finance companies, private equity groups, mezzanine lenders and independent factors.
Jason is a frequent author and lecturer on legal topics to the finance community. He was named by Super Lawyers as a New York “Rising Star,” 2014–2017.
Jon Pageler. SVP Corporate Relations, Diageo.
After an early career in electoral politics and crisis management, Jon now serves as SVP of Corporate Relations for the North American Division of Diageo, the world’s largest beer, wine and spirits company. Jon is responsible for all corporate communications and public policy, as well as Diageo’s Corporate Social Responsibility agenda. Jon currently serves on the board of Mother Jones magazine as treasurer as well as serving on the executive committees of DISCUS, an industry trade association and The Century Council, a social aspects organization dedicated to fighting underage drinking and drunk driving.
Justin Grant. CEO, Outside Edge Trading, LLC.

Justin is the Chief Executive Officer of Outside Edge Trading LLC. Justin is a true entrepreneur at heart, and has a successful track record of developing and investing in start-ups, where he is able to contribute his experience and Executive Management skills. Justin began his career at Ernst & Young LLP practicing Corporate Real Estate Tax on behalf of REITs and off-shore pooled investment vehicles. In 2009, Justin founded and is CEO of Blade Enterprises Inc (doing business as InSeats.com) a leading national ticket brokerage company. Justin has sat on the Board of Water Collective since it’s inception in 2011. Mr. Grant graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in Accounting from Hofstra University.
Kunj Shah. Founder and President, Live For Live Music.
Kunj is the President and Founder of Live for Live Music, a premier music media, marketing and production company. He is also the Founder of Brooklyn Comes Alive, and Co-Founder of Fool's Paradise.
Stephanie Kerman Sobotka.
Stephanie is a former PR professional who understands how to define and articulate a campaign to gain the traction, exposure, and coverage needed to launch a new product, or refresh an existing one. Stephanie’s background is focused in the beauty and lifestyle sectors for brands ranging from Jack Black, The Organic Pharmacy, and Tweezerman. On a recent trip to South Africa, Stephanie visited a township in Cape Town and immediately knew that she wanted to get involved with Water Collective.
