THE PROBLEM

There’s a growing injustice in Sub-Saharan Africa where 40% of water points tasked to dispense clean water are no longer working. Due to wear and tear, and a lack of education for individuals to maintain water points, millions of people live with broken water systems.

OUR SOLUTION

We launched our Water Independence program to address the heart of water failure and prevent future broken water projects. Through rigorous training and guidance before, during, and after water system installation, we address the education and engagement shortcomings seen in many failed water projects. We’re committing to reach 3 million people through our Water Independence program.

ANNA'S STORY

Anna wakes up at 3AM every morning to collect 6 buckets of water for 15 people living in her household, 7 of which are children.

“There is fighting between families and women for water at this tap”, Anna says. The 1 functioning tap stand in her village of Epen serves 6,800 people with great difficulty. There are long lines around this tap every morning, with people fighting to get their share of water before the tap dries up. 2 of the village’s other tap stands remain broken.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

To reach 3 million people, we need your help. We need committed partners who will help us preserve our promise and shepherd us towards our vision. Reaching 3 million people requires time, resources, and funding. We want to make sure that we hit our pledge by recruiting quarterly donors who will sustain the programs that bring each water project to life.

Each quarterly donation will be allocated to the partnered community(s) whose project will be in construction that quarter. Guardians gain access to exclusive reports and become a founding member of a movement to create water independence for all.
